"... extending IP Clement F Kusiak and his wife Jeanne, our very warm welcome to Penang which has a population of around 1.36 million. This would be the number of Lions in the world today. Consider this island a paradise of Lionism especially when the Penangites are known for their 'big' hearts.
Good fortune to have met IP Clement and his wife Jeanne six months ago at the 42nd MD308 Convention in Miri. That brief encounter, I found IP Clement, a modest man of great simplicity; a man who believes in sharing, sharing what he can offer and sharing what he can do. We have seen him doing that today.Our MD308 consist of 3 countries in Southeast Asia, namely Brunei, Malaysia and Singapore. It is divided into 4 sub districts and I am very proud to say that the 4 district governors and yours truly have worked as a team to build our MD. I can proudly say that membership in MD308 continues tp grow and new clubs continue to be extended. many more Leo clubs are formed. These are goals which MD geared up. The theme 'Share Success through Service' adds clarity to our roles and responsibilities in further extending the great spirit of Lionism...."
